Happy New Year! In so many ways, the New Year is a fresh start and with Pez, that means a whole new lineup of dispensers for the year, which we talked about in last month’s PCS newsletter. In other ways, it is just a continuation, one day after the next, or in the case of Pez, one new dispenser or limited edition exclusive after the next! We love growing collections and always having something new to add to keep the hobby exciting!
PEZ Co. certainly provided us with a lot of limited-edition exclusive dispensers this past month. First came the Holiday Presenter Girls wearing their Christmas stocking caps. There were two girls – one with light skin and one with dark skin. We have a few of these still in stock in the Pez Collectors Store.
Next came the Ugly Christmas Sweater with Santa’s face on a green knit sweater with red trimming and PEZ lettering. This limited edition exclusive sold out within hours in the USA. We have just a few of these on hand now.
New Year’s has also been celebrated with a very limited edition exclusive Golden Groom pez. Only 1925 Golden Groom dispensers were available in the USA with a white bow tie, white printed Happy New Year on the stem, and 2025 printed on the hat in white. An equal number available in Europe. There were an additional 100 Chase Golden Groom dispensers printed in black with black bow ties released in both the USA and in Europe. These Chase Versions have a sticker on the blister card that says 1 of only 200. The total of both black chase and regular white versions was 2025 pieces for Europe and 2025 for the USA to honor New Year 2025. These sold out in less than a half an hour in the USA, despite a limit of 2 dispensers per address. Needless to say, the Chase versions are really hard to come by and we have none available, but we do have a few of the White bow tie and print versions available now in the Pez Collectors Store.
We received our initial shipment of Valentines Pez for 2025 and they quickly sold out! We are waiting on our second order and will have them back in stock soon. The two new bears are adorable and the purple crystal heart is really sweet. These new pez joined the White Bear with kissed forehead and the Pink Silly and Red Happy Hearts in the new assortment for Valentine’s Day, 2025.
The 2025 European Hello Kitty Pez set is due to be released in January. The set includes a full body, white bow, ombre rainbow Hello Kitty and Hello Kitty on a pink stem with a blue crystal bow with purple, blue and yellow dots arched in a rainbow around the two bow tie leaves. These two pez will be available only from Europe. The European set also includes the purple bow Hello Kitty with Hello Kitty faces printed in all different orientations on the stem, creating a lace-like look. This pez is also expected to be available in the USA Hello Kitty pez assortment in March.
Jumping way ahead, we also received the Peeps Bunnies and Chicks assortment. There are 3 chicks and 3 bunnies, each in yellow, pink or blue colors. The Peeps Bunnies are all new dispensers. The chicks are the same as previously released. These come mint on new cards with updated blue background graphics and 3 candy packs, including a new Blueberry PEZ Candy flavor! These are in stock now in the Pez Collectors Store.
The new Blueberry Flavor Pez candy packs included with the Peeps Pez look great! For candy and candy pack lovers, this is something new for your collections and to dazzle your taste buds!
The new Avocado Pez will join the Pez Treats assortment in mid-January. The anthropomorphic Avocado has an adorable smile and will be joined by the Pez Treats Taco in a twin pack. It is easy to understand how an Avocado is considered a Treat if you think of guacamole, and we all know how a pile of guac would wind up looking as a Pez Treats dispenser! Who knows, perhaps the next treat will be a triangular Nacho Chip (using the Pizza Mold) and the Avocado representing guacamole will have the perfect treat mate! The Avocado will be added to the existing Treats Assortments, and it should begin showing up sometime after mid-January. We will have them in stock as soon as possible.
Also due for release mid-January is the new Disney Stitch assortment. Stitch, Angel and Aloha Stitch will be in the assortment. The Stitch Pez is his classic toothy blue creature on a blue stem, the Aloha Stitch is a closed mouth, winking blue head with hibiscus flowers printed on the red stem. Angel is Stitch’s alien girlfriend with a pink head and long tendril-like antennae. There is also a Stitch and Angel Twin Pack due to be released! We will have these in stock just as soon as our order is shipped to us!
The Marvel Pez assortment will include Sam Wilson as Captain America and a Red Face Hulk, due to be released in mid-January. Sam Wilson Captain America and the Red Face Hulk will be available in a twin pack as well. Our order is placed and we will add these to the Pez Collectors Store as soon as they are received!
February 1 Zombie will be added to Minecraft assortment. The Zombie pez is a green pixel block shaped character head on a navy-blue stem. Zombie will join Steve, Creeper, Alex and Pig in the Minecraft pez assortment.
While the USA will get a new Zombie added to the Minecraft Assortment, Europe will get a new Enderman without print on the stem.
A new Hello Kitty character called Kuromi will join the pez assortment in the USA. The Kuromi Pez is a devilish white rabbit who wears a purple jesters hood with a pink skull on the forehead of the hood. The Kuromi pez head sits on a pink stem. The assortment also includes a new Hello Kitty with lacy looking Hello Kitty printed stem that we suspect will be the same as the earlier European release as shown below, and My Melody.
The Hello Kitty with faces printed on the stem will join My Melody and Kuromi in two new twin packs, also due for release March 1. You may notice that the stem printed Hello Kitty in this image appears to have a magenta colored bow and stem, and that Kuromi seems to be on a darker pink stem. We are truly hoping that the USA has a different color than the purple European version, but we don't know for sure. This is the image we were provided and we will just have to wait unit March to see what we get!
In an update for our Canadian customers, we apologize, we cannot currently ship to Canada. In a press release Dec. 23, 2024, the United States Postal Service states that while the Canada Post Employees strike has ended, there is a backlog of mail to be processed. Once the backlog is cleared in what is expected to be within the next two weeks, the USPS will resume accepting packages bound for Canada.
