The coach whistles look just like a - well, a coach whistle, sitting atop a pez stem. The very early whistles came in a variety of colors and many are on no feet USA stems. The ones from the 1990' s came in 8 color combinations:
- Half red, half yellow with the loop on the yellow side, on a green stem
- Half yellow, half red with the loop on the red side, on a green stem
- Half green, half yellow with the loop on the yellow side, on a red stem
- Half yellow, half green with the loop on the green side, on a red stem
- Half orange half yellow with the loop on the yellow side, on a purple stem
- Half yellow, half orange with the loop on the orange side, on a purple stem
- Half white, half red with the loop on the red side, on a blue stem
- Half red, half white with the loop on the white side, on a blue stem
The 2000 series featured a mono-colored coach whistle.
